ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Designed a web site that brought a client over $250,000 in business in 4 months and another site that caused a company to open another division to handle the business. They landed a $10 million dollar contract after I put their catalogs on the Internet.
  • Made numerous improvements to a voice controlled home automation system that increased recognition accuracy and made it more competitive with similar products.
  • Designed and implemented software and hardware for a programmable motorized probe controller. Achieved a positional accuracy of 1 micron. Product won award at semiconductor trade show. Brought software and electronics development in-house. Developed testing procedures and selected engineering staff. Resulted in better product quality, lower production costs and better customer support.
  • Created a furnace control system with an easy to change plumbing diagram for real time display of valve configuration. Easy operation reduced operator training and production costs.
  • Used state-of-the-art technology to create a system for the analysis and display of data from a portable heart monitor. Hierarchical windowing techniques and context sensitive help screens made the system very easy to learn.
  • Engineered an editing controller that can control: video and multi-track audio recorders and multiple switcher/special effect generators. Short pre-roll times and advanced editing functions made the product a leader in the industry.
  • Worked with marketing to write specifications and developed software for a specialized printer used by the banking industry. Software permitted data entry on user definable forms and imported data from other computers. This product provided more features at a lower cost than existing products.
  • Developed a device driver for IBM 3275 bi-synchronous multi-point terminal support on a message switch. Software was so efficient that one Z-80 microprocessor could control 4 links with 16 terminals each. Services include: error handling, character translation and packet generation.
  • Created business software solutions in inventory control, job cost analysis, accounting, finance and repair order applications.
