This image (on the right) was scanned using a video camera on a tripod. It was then edited to remove the background leaving only the toy and its shadow. Using this technique allows us to get just the right image without taking photographs (which can be time consuming and costly).

We can also take images directly from video tape. This image was captured from moving video. The quality of the image on the tape will have a direct affect on the resulting image.
